This is a nice example of a 20th Century Burmese Dha.
The heavy, 542mm blade has a flat spine tapering to a hatchet point. The blade is 37mm at the base, widening to 42mm before the point. The blade is deeply etched with foliate/vine-like motifs above what looks to be script.
The blade is in great condition with faint sharpening scratches along the edge.
The blade is held firmly in its turned rosewood hilt. The hilt has a steel bolster and pommel cap.
The dha is complete with its wooden scabbard. The scabbard is in good condition and the sword sheathes and draws smoothly and is held firmly within the scabbard.
This is a great decorative Dha with a good hardened blade.
