French M1842/59 sword bayonet in great condition.
The 57cm / 22.5 inch yataghan blade is clean with light age related tarnishing.
Inspection marks on the ricasso and cross piece, armoury and date 1862/1842 engraved on the spine. The ribbed brass grip and internal spring catch are in good order.
The original steel scabbard is without dings or dents.
