This well made and robust hardwood sword cane has a heavy metal top to the handle. The top is marked with what appears to be a military Broad Arrow.
The 608mm thrusting blade tapers to a point and is in good condition. It sheathes smoothly within the body of the cane, fitting snugly without rattle or play. The base of the blade is stamped with the manufacturer’s details. The blade was made at St. Etienne, France although the cane appears to be British.
The hardwood body of the cane is in great condition and has no damage or cracks. The cane has a copper collar which is engraved with the owner’s initials, WCF. The bi-metal ferrule is in good condition with mild use related wear.
Total length 890mm.
Disclaimer: All sword canes sold by Bygone Blades are sold as historical collectables. They are sold for decorative collectable purposes only. In the United Kingdom and many other countries, it is a serious criminal offence to use a sword cane in public.
