This is a highly detailed and fully working bronze signal cannon on a naval style hard wood truck.
This type of cannon is typical of the Georgian period during which these signal cannons were used to mark noon at sea - "the noon gun."
The bronze barrel is 30 cm in length with a bore of 10 mm.
The total length is 35 cm with a height (elevated barrel) of 21 cm and a width at the rear of 25 cm. The cannon weighs approximately 5 kg.
The hard wood truck is most probably a replacement but has some age and is nicely weathered with a great patina. The truck and its fittings are clearly hand made and the attention to detail is excellent.
