Original British No.4 Mk I, late production cruciform bayonet for the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I Rifle. This bayonet is the rarer blackened variant. The No.4 Mk1 bayonet was only produced from late 1941 and into the early months of 1942. The sole maker was the Singer Manufacturing Co., at their Clydebank plant near Glasgow, Scotland. 

The 203mm blackened cruciform blade in excellent condition.

The socket block is stamped with a worn, crowned George V cypher and pattern designation above SM (Singer Manufacturing). The spring mechanism bears the Singer SM above the date stamp 42 (1942). The obverse of the socket block bears the Singer factory inspection mark, 47Z

This rare bayonet is complete with its correct No.4 Mk I scabbard. 

This is a guaranteed genuine, rare WW2 blackened Mk I cruciform bayonet from the final months of production.
