As you know, President Trump has decided that all USA citizens must pay import taxes on any items bought from overseas. He has withdrawn the $800 pre-tax allowance on imports and has also cancelled the exemption for antiques.
The amount of import tax payable is dependent on the country of manufacture of the item, NOT where it was bought/imported from.
For example,
The tariff on UK made items is 10% of the total amount, including the shipping fee.
On items manufactured in mainland Europe, the tariff is 15%.
Some countries incur a much higher percentage.
President Trump has insisted that these fees be paid BEFORE the item is imported, or the parcel will be refused entry into the US.
This basically means that Bygone Blades has to collect the US import tax from you and submit it to the carrier, who in turn pay the US customs.
After you have made your purchase, you will receive a separate invoice for the new import tax specific to the item purchased. This will need to be paid before your purchase is shipped.

Iconic British WW1 Pattern 1907 Lee-Enfield rifle bayonet made in August 1917 by the Wilkinson Sword Company, London.
The 435mm single-edged blade has a long narrow fuller and rounded spine. The edge was factory service sharpened. The blade is in very good condition.
The ricasso retains its original blueing and is marked with George V crowned royal cypher over the pattern date 1907. The date of manufacture 8 ’17, is stamped above the makers’ name - Wilkinson.
The obverse ricasso bears a bend test stamp, War Department arrow and an Enfield inspection and acceptance stamps.
The crosspiece and muzzle ring retain their original blued finish and are in very good condition. The press-stud catch is in perfect working order. The grip scales are in good condition with a hairline crack in one scale. Both scales bear clear Enfield inspection stamps.
The bayonet is complete with its brown leather scabbard with a teardrop frog stud. The scabbard is in very good condition. The steel locket and chape retain their original blueing. The stitching is intact and strong and the bayonet sheathes smoothly and is held firmly within the scabbard.
This is a very good example of the iconic British World War One Enfield rifle bayonet, made by the Wilkinson Sword Company.
